You may have seen the breaking news—Evernote is making big changes to its pricing model. And it really matters if you’re (currently) using the Free version.
Evernote is a note-taking, audio-recording, document-scanning productivity app that has taken center-stage for many users in personal use, non-profit, and small business environments.
Some of these users might be switching away from Evernote, however, due to a change in their pricing model. Basically, if you’re using the free version, you will be limited to using Evernote on up to two devices.
Personally, I don’t need the paid plan of Evernote, but I’m a power user when it comes to making use of the app’s functionality. As a Free Evernote user with the app on my computer, phone, and iPad, I may be looking for some other solutions.
What’s next for my personal note-taking? I’ll have to do some research. I use SimpleNote on the side (for very basic text-only notes), but if you have any recommendations, leave a comment below.
